The Newcastle-born pundit boasts an estimated net worth of £50 million, which has been accumulated from his stellar playing career and work as a pundit.
Shearer began his professional playing carer with Southampton in 1988, where he scored 23 goals in 118 appearances – establishing himself in England.
In 1992, he then joined Blackburn Rovers where he truly cemented his place as one of the best strikers in the Premier League. He scored 112 goals in 138 matches, winning a Premier League title in 1995.
He then signed for his hometown side, Newcastle United, scoring 148 goals in 303 matches and made history which still stands today – notching 260 Premier League goals.
Shearer was also a constant member in the national side, as his international career spanned from 1992 – 2000 and was on target 30 times.
His only stint at management came in 2009, taking an interim role as Newcastle manager, however, this role was short-lived as he guided Newcastle to their first relegation in 16-years.

During his playing career, Alan Shearer started on £27.50 a week for Southampton as he came through the academy – which is far less than what players are earning now.

In 1997, Shearer became the highest paid player in the league, as Newcastle offered the Englishman a £34,000 a week contract.
His current salary as a BBC pundit is estimated to be £400,000, which is less than his long-time partner Gary Lineker – who earns a reported £1.35 million.
During his spells on Amazon Prime, Shearer covered the Christmas period and earned a healthy festive bonus – reportedly earning £50,000.
