Chelsea ended Spurs’ unbeaten start to the Premier League season after a thrilling game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Chelsea top four odds now 7/2.
There was an air of anticipation around the stadium as Mauricio Pochettino returned to his former club with one of their biggest rivals, Chelsea. The game did not disappoint.
A Monday Night Thriller
The hosts, looking to return to the top of the league, started the game fast. Dejan Kuluveski opened the scoring, thanks to a Levi Colwill deflection.

Spurs looked like they were going to cruise to yet another victory this season. Chelsea pressed the Spurs defence, but Spurs cut through easily. Captain Son Heung-Min slotted the ball home, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Destiny Udogie seemed to kick Chelsea into action. The young Italian full back went in with two feet but despite protests he escaped a red.

Next it was Cristian Romero lucky to escape a red card for kicking out at Colwill. That incident happened in the build up to a Raheem Sterling goal that was ruled out for handball.
Moisés Caicedo was next up to have a goal ruled out. His fine effort was cancelled out after it was deemed Nicolas Jackson was offside.
Three minutes later and Romero was given his marching orders and Chelsea awarded a penalty. The Argentine followed through in his tackle and was shown a straight red. Cole Palmer slotted the ball home.

No Let Off In The Second Half
Spurs came out fighting in the second half after a talking to from Ange Postecoglou, who was looking to defend his 52 home game unbeaten run. Despite the early promise, Udogie was sent off and Spurs were reduced to nine.
Despite having just nine men, Chelsea couldn’t find a way through. Spurs continued to play their high line and were caught out by Chelsea but they couldn’t score.
In the 75th minute, Jackson finally got the goal Chelsea were hunting for. It seemed like Chelsea would go on to kill the game off, however Eric Dier scored to equalise the game, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Spurs continued to push and looked for an equaliser. It was Chelsea who scored again with Jackson making it 3-1, and then he sealed his hat trick three minutes later.
