Former English Football League manager Adrian Pennock has bagged over £80,000 from a £1million People’s Postcode Lottery prize pot while managing DPMM FC out in Brunei.
Pennock, formerly the manager of English Football League sides Gillingham, Forest Green Rovers and Barrow, has landed a whopping £83,333 after winning the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The ex-Stoke City coach is one of the lucky residents at ME7 3TG in Shepherd’s Gate, Hempstead, and received a share of the mouth-watering £1million jackpot alongside his wife Tania, and their son Ashley.
Despite winning the healthy wad of cash, Pennock is currently out in Brunei where he is the manager of Singapore Premier League side DPMM FC.
He joined the Bandar Seri Begawan-based club back in 2019 after parting ways with Barrow, whom he narrowly avoided relegation with in the National League, and led DPMM to their second ever Singaporean top flight title in his first season with the club.
Not only has he enjoyed a managerial career which has span across almost 20 years, but also a playing career in which he represented Norwich City, Bournemouth, Gillingham, Gravesend & Northfleet, as well as a brief spell on loan in Norway with Molde FK.
A central defender by trade, Pennock made 300 appearances in the EFL throughout his 15 year playing career, scoring a total of 14 competitive goals across all competitions.
Pennock’s son, Ashley, who is a father of two and works as a school teacher told KentOnline: “To win as a family, I can’t believe it. To share this experience with them when they’re getting the same thing, it is just amazing.”
The 52-year-old’s wife, Tania, also told KentOnline: “This is incredible for me and Adrian, but I’m so made up for my son and his wife. We’ve been sharing the anticipation together for the past week. It’s been such fun.”
