Pep Guardiola’s side continued their 100% start to their Champions League defence by beating Young Boys 3-1.
The hosts held strong in the first half. They were able to keep City at bay and went into half-time with their heads held high.
Despite City’s array of attacking quality, it was Manuel Akanji who opened the scoring for Manchester City. His goal in the 48th minute looked to open the floodgates. However, it was Young Boys who got the second, and their equaliser, through Meschak Elia.
15 minutes later, Manchester City were back ahead through Erling Haaland. Surprisingly it was his first Champions League goal of the season.
It wasn’t long till he had his second of the campaign. Haaland wrapped up the three points late in the second half.
