Justin Rose Masters First Round Leader @ 40/1

This looks to be fantastic value given Justin Rose’s notable record at Augusta, which includes five top-10 finishes and two separate runner-up campaigns.

He enters the year’s first major in resurgent form, recently ranking sixth at the Players Championship in March, while also claiming victory at the AT&T National Pebble Beach Pro-Am a month before.

He also has made quite a habit out of racing out the gates in Georgia, finishing as the first round leader in 2021 after hitting 65, which is the joint-best score of any of the previous five editions. He also ranked joint-third in 2020 after scoring 67, which would have been enough to see him win the opening round last year.

Cameron Smith is undoubtedly one of the names to look out for at this year’s Masters, not only for his irrefutable golfing record but also being one of the more notable names to join the breakaway LIV Golf tour recently.

Nevertheless, any controversy surrounding his inclusion could be quickly quelled should he be able to race into a positive rhythm.

The Open and Players Championship winner in 2022 recently won his first LIV title immediately after making the switch, and he has performed consistently at Augusta down the years, with his best finish coming in 2020 after tying for second place with Im Sung-jae.

It is worth noting that he finished just one stroke behind the South Korean, who finished as the first round leader last year, while he also finished third at the close of the opening round in 2020.
