Manchester City have entered the race for Leicester City’s James Maddison, with Newcastle United also showing heavy interest in the England international.
Since signing for the Foxes back in 2018, Maddison has made 191 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side- scoring 54 goals and assisting 37. His goal-output has caught the eye of both supporters and rival clubs, with a possible move away from Leicester looking increasingly likely.
This season has been more of the same for the 25-year-old, making 18 league appearances and contributing to 14 goals. Achieving these numbers whilst being hampered by injuries has shown the ability that the midfielder possesses.
These performances have not been matched by his side’s display in the Premier League this campaign, as the Foxes sit in 15th place, only two points off the relegation zone. A poor showing from the 15/16 league champions which could push Maddison away given his desire to play for England on a consistent basis.

Manchester City have been linked with the midfield ace, with Bernado Silva set to leave at the end of the season. The blue side of Manchester will be hoping to strengthen their squad for next season with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United improving week-by-week.
Another side interested in Maddison is Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, who continue to progress following their new ownership. The Magpies saw their £40m bid rejected in the summer transfer window, but the Toon will be more confident should they qualify for Europe.
