Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has been discussing the power of Manchester City ahead of the big game.
The two sides who battled for the title last season meet for the first time in the league tomorrow.
City have started in fine form with their new striker Erling Haaland finding life in the Premier League a breeze.
Liverpool however, have had a poor start to the season. Their start is their worst under Klopp since he took over.
Speaking about City, Klopp said:
“Nobody can compete with Man City. You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker on the market, no matter what he cost.
“We can’t act like them at Liverpool. It is not possible.
“There are three clubs in world football who can do what they want financially. It’s legal and everything, fine, but they can do what they want.
“They will say: ‘Yeah but we have …’ but it’s exactly the fact. We have to look at it [and say]: ‘We need that and we need that and we have to look here and make it younger, and here a prospect and here a talent’ and that is what you have to do. And you compete with them.”

Does Klopp Have A Point?
There’s no question that City have spent big to get to where they are now, but they’ve also moved wisely.
Haaland who looks set to break many records for City and in the Premier League, came at a cheap price for a player of his quality.
Elsewhere, on the pitch they’ve spent big money to make their team what it is. Jack Grealish came at a big price. £100million for Grealish turned heads, and after last season it looked as if it was a waste of money. This season Grealish has picked up his performances, and he looks like he’s living up to his big fee gradually.
It may be a case of Klopp playing mind games with City ahead of the crucial clash.
It’s going to be a massive game at 4:30pm tomorrow.
