What is Bet Storm?
Bet Storm is owned by ProgressPlay, a “white label” platform that provides all of the technology that powers a modern sportsbook but enables a betting site to add their own brand identity and create a site unique to them. They are licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, with an additional Gambling Commission license to operate in the UK.
And like many of the modern sportsbooks launched in the last few years, they have an extensive area of the site dedicated to responsible gambling, which is a good sign that encouraging their players to gamble responsibly is high on the agenda for new betting sites.
Bet Storm Signup Offer Overview
The Bet Storm welcome offer is a good one as punters who sign up with the Bet Storm bonus code BET30 and wager £10 or more will receive a £30 free bet. Qualifying for the Bet Storm free bet is subject to a number of terms and conditions such as activating your account, minimum odds for your first bet and a wagering requirement needing to be met in order to release your bonus funds.
So we have scanned the small print and will take you through the offer in more detail below. However, we would also recommend checking out the T’s & C’s relating to this and every other offer before you sign up.
Bet Storm Signup Offer | Minimum Deposit | Minimum Odds | Wagering Requirement | Offer Expiry |

Ongoing Bet Storm Promotions
There are a number of ongoing Bet Storm promotions, all of which reward loyalty to the site in different ways. However, the main point to note here is that the cashback deals we have outlined below are the ones available at the time of writing, and may change in the future.
- Rewards Store – Click on the trophy button at the top of the home page to access the rewards section, where you can see which level you have reached along with the missions you need to complete to earn points, such as placing your first live bet or wagering at least £5 on a casino game. You can also see what you can spend those points on, but don’t forget you should always check the full terms and conditions.
- Wager Wars Leaderboard – Punters can choose to compete against other players for cash prizes by signing up to take part in “Wager Wars”. If you deposit at least £10 with the Bet Storm promo code GO and place at least £50 in qualifying bets you will earn points for that bet and each subsequent wager, which could potentially move you up the leaderboard. And the top five players at the end of the offer period will be rewarded with prizes ranging from £50 to £150.
- Football Cashback – Deposit with the code KICK, place real money bets on football and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
- American Football Cashback – Deposit with the code LVI, place real money bets on American football and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
- Basketball Cashback – Deposit with the Bet Storm promo code ALLEY, place real money bets on American Football and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
- Rugby Cashback – Deposit with the code GOAL, place real money bets on rugby and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
- Tennis Cashback – Deposit with the code BALL, place real money bets on tennis and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
- Beijing Winter Olympics Cashback – Deposit with the code WINTER, place real money bets on the Beijing Winter Olympics and you will receive 10% of your deposit losses back, up to a maximum of £500.
Bet Storm Free Bet
To qualify for your Bet Storm free bet your first port of call should be to sign up and activate your account from your registered email. You then need to deposit a minimum of £10 with the code BET30, but be aware that customers who deposit using Skrill will not be eligible, so we’d recommend a debit card deposit.
Once you have placed bets of at least £10 at odds of 1/2 or more (1.5 in decimal odds), your bonus funds will be released and ready to play! Your £30 Bet Storm free bet will need to be used all at once, but there are no minimum odds requirements attached to the wager you place.
The wagering requirement is also very generous in that you only need to bet your bonus amount once in order for any profits to be transferred to your real money balance. However, your bonus winnings will be capped at £200 and any bonus and winnings will expire 7 days after being credited.
Is Bet Storm Safe?
As part of our Bet Storm review we have taken a good look at site safety and security and we’re happy to report that not only are their parent company ProgressPlay licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, they also work with the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council to make transactions as secure as possible.
All personal details are fully encrypted with multiple servers used to ensure the protection of sensitive information. And while data is in transit, they utilise the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to ensure that sensitive data is transferred securely over the internet to their protected servers.
Bet Storm Review
Which Sports Can I Bet On With Bet Storm?
The range of sports is hugely impressive with the most popular betting events side by side with the more niche sports such as lacrosse, futsal and Gaelic football. However, a big negative is the lack of any British horse racing markets, given how popular betting on the Sport of Kings is in the UK.
At the time of writing we found 35 different sports, as well as an impressive range of E-Sports including League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Warcraft 3, Brawl Stars, Starcraft 2, Valorant and DOTA 2. And more good news for E-Sports aficionados is that each game is individually featured on the left-hand side of the screen, rather than having to click on an E-Sports icon and find your chosen event from there.
There’s also a good number of worldwide political and entertainment markets and also special bets such as the first company to put a man on Mars, if you’ve run out of bets to place on Earth!
Football is the undisputed king when it comes to punter popularity and when we checked there were always over 100 outcomes to pick from in the big league, cup and tournament matches at home and abroad, and at least 50 in the smaller events.
We also had a look at some other popular sports such as golf, tennis and American football. And we were impressed when we saw over 12 markets available for a relatively minor golf tournament, over 100 for any NFL game and more than 30 on your average tennis match.
Site Navigation
On the sports markets section of the home page, you will be able to find the event you wish to wager on by clicking on the list icon on the left-hand side and then clicking through to the match you are interested in. Or if you know the specific team or individual you wish to bet on you can just type that into the search box, which is always a useful addition!
You can also change the way the site is laid out by clicking “Classic” or “Modern” above the bet slip, with the difference between the two being that the modern layout has a white background with more graphics and less information on screen at any time, while the classic has a more basic black background with more going on!
This is a great feature but our only issue is that it is very easy to miss with the button being hidden away above the bet slip. We reckon an option as strong as this should certainly be featured more prominently on the home page.
There are pros and cons to both layouts with our preference being for the classic one, for reasons we outline in the “Place Bets” section of this review, but it’s great to have the option of both and we would definitely encourage you to try them and see which is your favourite.
Bet Storm Odds and Value
Odds can be viewed in fractional, decimal and American formats, along with the less well-known pricing styles of Hong Kong, Malay and Indo, so all bases are covered there!
Our experience with new betting sites is that the vast majority tend not to prioritise competitive odds as they believe that it is a low priority for customers who are often new to the sports betting sphere. And that seems to be the case here as when we compared odds with their major rivals on a number of different sports for our review, we found them to be middle of the road.
We don’t necessarily disagree with that tactic as we believe that punters will be more interested in Bet Storm offers. However, we do think that the absence of odds boosts and “best odds guaranteed” deals, both of which are widely found on most other sportsbooks, is a negative as that is far more important to punters such as ourselves.
Bet Limits
The minimum wager is £0.20, while the maximum bet varies depending on the price. After looking at a range of sports we discovered that the maximum win from any bet varied from wager to wager but was generally between the £2,000 & £7,000 mark, with the more well-known sports such as football tending to provide the best opportunities for bigger payouts.
And while we can certainly understand a new site limiting your winnings it means that the small percentage of high rollers among you or those looking for a mega acca win might need to look elsewhere! However, the bigger bettors will certainly be interested in the “Super Bet” button on the bet slip, which allows you to request an ad hoc bet that would exceed the maximum limit.
In Play Betting
Given how popular in play betting has become, the live service provided by a sportsbook was certainly a key element of our research for this review.
We found a good selection of sports to bet on at all times of the day and night, with over 100 markets on average across at least 10 sports. There are also a number of extra features that we haven’t seen on many other sportsbooks, including the option to create your own live “Multi View” in the centre of the screen with up to four live events.
And there’s even an option to filter events by country, as well as a handy calendar to see exactly what is coming up in the hours and days ahead.
Live Streaming
At the time of writing this review, live streaming is not an option, but we found that every sport that you can bet on in play had a graphic showing the latest score, and when it came to football there was a live animation showing events as they happened, along with key stats such as shots on target, bookings, corner kicks and even dangerous attacks.
Bet Storm Features
Cashout is available on many of the markets, which will please punters who love the option of settling their wagers early. You just need to click on “My Bets” on the right-hand side of the home page and then if your bet is eligible you will see a green dollar sign next to it which is clickable. You can also set your bet to auto cashout if it reaches a certain amount in play, which is a welcome addition that is normally only on spread betting sites.
However, that’s about it for betting features as we found no price boosts, bet builder or Best Odds Guaranteed on horse racing, which is disappointing as at least one, if not all of those features are available at many of their rival sportsbooks.
Customer Service
Understanding the intricacies of betting can be a complicated business, especially for newcomers, and it is often made even more stressful because there is money involved! So an important element of our review has to be a good look at what help and information is available to bettors.
The support team are available via live chat seven days a week at all hours of the day, and you can access the help page by clicking on the speech bubble icon at the top of the screen to bring up the Support Centre.
You might be able to find the answer to your question on that page without having to go any further, but if not you can click on the “Chat With Us” button at the bottom of the page and you will be put through to an advisor within a minute or so.
How to Get Started at Bet Storm
Now for the part of our review where we take you through the signing up process, which thankfully involves very few screens and clicks and allows you to get to the betting part pretty sharpish! The following step by step guide explains just how punters can sign up at the sportsbook:
Step1: Visit Bet Storm
With no mobile app available the only way to sign up is by visiting their home page on your computer or mobile device.
Step 2: Bet Storm Signup
Click the “Claim Here” button to open the first of three Bet Storm signup forms where you will be required to enter your email address, telephone number and your desired username. After that, check your phone as a code will be sent that you need to input on the next form, and then it’s time to fill in your full name, date of birth, address, occupation, the currency you wish to bet in and your marketing preferences.
Step 3: Deposit Funds
You have the option to deposit as part of the Bet Storm signup process but if you choose not to, when you’re ready to fund your account and take advantage of the Bet Storm welcome offer for the first time you just need to log in and click on “Cashier” at the top of the screen. Select the “Deposit” option, before entering the amount you wish to add and then you can input your bank card details or login to your chosen e-wallet account. And don’t forget you need to deposit at least £10 with the Bet Storm bonus code BET30 to take advantage of the Bet Storm welcome bonus.
Step 4: Place Bets
Looking at the classic version of the home page you’d be forgiven for thinking there’s a lot going on and it will be difficult to navigate. But fear not because we discovered quite quickly that placing a single bet is actually quite straightforward while selecting multiple bets is also a real breeze.
Once you click on a particular sport on the far left-hand side the specific markets will appear underneath, and then you can just select the one you want and all the matches related to that market will appear to the right, and then you just need to click on a match and the available markets will emerge to the right of that.
The real beauty of this layout is that all of these sections will remain in place, which makes going back and forth from match to match a real piece of cake. And placing a multiple bet was a real pleasure too as we could just click from match to match and market to market on the same page, rather than going back and forth.
Then you just need to click on the price of the outcome you wish to bet on and it will appear on the bet slip on the far right of the screen, which will stay permanently so you don’t have to keep clicking back on it. You can then add your stake and click “Place Bets”.
Step 5: Withdraw Winnings
If you want to withdraw your winnings just click on “Cashier” at the top of the home page, click on “Withdrawal” and then pick which payment method you wish to credit your withdrawal to, add the amount and click “Withdrawal”. The minimum amount is £10 and you can withdraw to Visa debit cards, bank transfer, Paypal, Neteller or Skrill.
Ahead of your first withdrawal, you will be required to provide a photo ID such as a passport or driving license, but that is standard practice for a lot of sportsbooks and is nothing to worry about.
However, withdrawals are subject to a £2.50 processing fee at Bet Storm which is a massive negative in our book, mainly because very few betting sites charge their customers to withdraw their winnings, but also due to the fact that the amount is set and not a percentage, so the people withdrawing £20 are being charged the same as those withdrawing £10,000!
For example, if you withdrew £20 you would lose 12.5% of it, but if you withdrew £200 it’s only 1.25%, which seems to penalise smaller-stakes bettors more than the larger stakes ones, which is slightly unfair. And it may also discourage bettors from withdrawing small amounts, meaning they will place more bets that they may not have actually wanted to.
BetStorm App
There is no Bet Storm app, but the good news is that when we asked customer support whether there were any plans to create one, they said that an app is in development but they couldn’t give us any idea of a release date.
However, looking at their sportsbook on your mobile device represents the experience of an app very well as it works effectively in portrait mode.
Our only small gripe is that the ever-present ticker showing advertisements at the top of the screen is pretty big and constantly having to scroll beyond it to get to the main home page becomes even more of an annoyance on the smaller mobile screen.
Bet Storm Welcome Bonus Code
If you want to qualify for the “Bet £10, Get £30” Bet Storm welcome bonus you just need to enter the Bet Storm bonus code BET30 when depositing. In addition, some of their sports-specific bonuses also require a code so it’s always worth checking their Bet Storm promotions page for more details.
Many other sportsbook offers also require promo codes, with the following being a selection of deals that can be found currently at some of the leading UK betting sites.
Bet Storm Casino
Fans of slots and casino games are well served at the Bet Storm Casino with 750 slots to choose from, as well as numerous different versions of popular table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Poker and Baccarat. There are a number of virtual scratchcards available and even a Wheel of Fortune-type offering called Monopoly Big Spin.
And if you’re looking for an experience that is as close to a real Casino as you can get, all of the table games are available with live dealers.
Bet Storm Payment Methods
The table below provides a clear breakdown of some of the major payment methods currently available at Bet Storm. We have zeroed in on the options that can accept both deposits and withdrawals, but a full list is available at the bottom of the Bet Storm home page.

Bet Storm Pros & Cons
Our in-depth look at Bet Storm has enabled us to create a comprehensive list of what we like and what we don’t like, so you can make as informed a decision as possible if you’re thinking of becoming a Bet Storm punter.
What We Like:
- Range of Markets – There are a huge range of pre-match and in play markets, a great selection of E-Sports events and a good selection of political and entertainment wagers.
- In Play Excellence – Extra features such as multi-view make in play betting a much more immersive experience.
- Easy Acca Creation – The layout of the classic site makes creating multiple bets a piece of cake as there is no need to navigate to different pages to find your next selection and the bet slip is always on screen.
- Layout Flexibility – Being able to pick from two different layout styles is a good way to tailor your betting experience to your own preferences.
- Super Bet – Being able to request a wager that is more than the maximum amount allowed will appeal to punters fond of bigger stakes bets.
What We Don’t Like:
- No British Horse Racing Markets – Only football beats horse racing when it comes to popularity with UK punters, so a lack of British horse racing markets is a real negative.
- Lack of Variety in Existing Customer Bet Storm Offers – The only existing customer Bet Storm offers are ones that reward you for betting large amounts frequently, and there are no smaller-scale deals such as price boosts or acca insurance that are prevalent at many other sportsbooks.
- Withdrawal Fees – Charging a set fee of £2.50 for each withdrawal is a big penalty for small-scale punters in particular.
- Mobile Layout – There’s no app and viewing the sportsbook on your mobile device is made more difficult by the constant presence of an advert ticker that takes up more than half of the screen.
Bottom Line on Bet Storm
After a thorough review, it’s time to reveal whether we think this brand new sportsbook has gone down a storm or is a bit of a damp squib! And the bottom line is that there is a lot to recommend, particular when it comes to the Bet Storm signup offer, the range of sports and markets, a strong in play offering and a desktop site layout that makes placing bets a breeze.
However, a lack of UK horse racing will likely put off a lot of potential new customers, as will a shortage of diversity in their existing customer deals and the £2.50 withdrawal charge. However, if you’re happy to look past that we would certainly suggest you check out the site as there’s more than enough good things going on to make them a worthy addition to the sports betting market.
