Professional horse racing tipster Andrew Mount takes a good look at today’s Spreadex markets to find the best value spread betting and fixed odds opportunities.
Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew starts the new week with two recommended bets/trades at Southwell’s jumps fixture on Monday, June 27th. Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the year.
On ratings alone, the Paul Nicholls-trained GLAJOU looks a good thing for this novices’ selling hurdle but horse racing is rarely that simply and anyone considering backing him at odds of 2-5 should probably think again and maybe go for a lie down in a darkened room. To describe the six-year-old as ‘quirky’ would be a massive understatement and his finishing effort usually leaves plenty to be desired. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters have a few viable each-way alternatives, including in-form course and distance winner OVERTOYOUGEORGE, who arrives here with the best last-time-out speed figure according to Proform’s ratings.
Recommendation: Oppose GLAJOU in Southwell 2.30
Donald McCain has a modest record with his runners at Southwell, with the hurdlers/chasers landing just three of their 86 starts since (3.5% strike-rate) for a loss of £55.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 10.13). SIMPLY RED, 4-1 second favourite at the time of writing, has won just once from nine starts and could prove vulnerable in first-time cheekpieces. Sell in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 race market. Fixed odds punters might want to back ‘FIELD’ at evens in the FAV or RAG market.
Recommendation: Oppose SIMPLY RED in Southwell 3.00
