Inter Milan lost their third match of the season as Catania won 3-1 on Friday.
The loss opens the door for AC Milan to move within one point of leaders Inter Milan if they can win on the weekend. Milito would give Inter Milan the lead in the second half with a 54th minute goal.
Catania would fight back and level the match in the 74th minute as Gaston Maxi Lopez scored. With the match tied at 1-1, Inter Milan’s Sulley Muntari would get a red card in the 81st minute. It would be the turning point of the match as the red card resulted in a penalty and left Inter Milan a man down for the last ten minutes. The penalty was converted by Giuseppe Mascara to make it 2-1.
Catania would add one more as Jorge Andres Martinez scored in the 90th minute. The loss will be disappointing Inter Milan while Catania are now eight points above the relegation zone.
