Manchester United have begun their search for a new central defender and Roma’s Kostas Manolas has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
According to latest reports from Italy, Manolas’ agent met with Manchester United officials on Monday and are discussing a summer transfer.
The highly rated 24-year-old centre-back is a target for several other clubs including Chelsea and Manchester City.
It seems that Manchester United are keen to find a partner for Chris Smalling. Rojo has failed to live up to the expectations since his move to Manchester United and Jones has struggled with injuries.
Manolas would be an outstanding addition to any Premier League side and would strengthen Manchester United a lot. The defender has been a key member of Roma’s squad over the last two seasons and Manchester United will need to submit a considerable offer for him.
The likes of Pjanic and Nainggolan have also been linked with moves to the Premier League this summer. A summer exodus on the cards for Roma? we will find out soon enough.
