Ruby Walsh Cheltenham Tips – Day 4

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 1.30 – JCB Triumph Hurdle Tip – FIL DOR @ 7/1 with BetUK

Vauban is a great horse but Walsh isn’t sure if the soft ground is in his favour. The more it dries out, the better the chance there is for him or Pied Piper to use their speed. Will be a real test of stamina which will suit Fil Dor on the soft ground.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 2.10 – County Hurdle Tip – STATE MAN @ 3/1 with BetUK

State Man is well handicapped and looks a graded horse in the making. Could be a bit inexperienced, but still looks a cracking horse. If he jumps well, he should be there or there abouts.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 2.50 – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle Tip – HILLCREST @ 5/2 with BetUK

Walsh was almightily impressed by Hillcrest‘s win at Haydock last month on the heavy ground. We know he will handle these conditions with the soft turn.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 3.30 – Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Tip – A PLUS TARD @ 5/2 with BetUK

Walsh believes it should be relatively easy for A Plus Tard to turn around the Leopardstown form with Galvin. A Plus Tard has far more speed and Ruby Walsh thinks he will go one better than last year and win the 2022 Gold Cup.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 4.10 – St James’ Place Hunters’ Cup Tip  – PREMIER MAGIC @ 16/1 with BetUK

Although Billaway is the favourite, he has come runner-up twice in this race, which Walsh believes doesn’t bode well. He is backing Premier Magic to get the job done at a reasonably big price here.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 4.50 – Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase Tip – ELIMAY @ 2/1 with BetUK

Elimay was unlucky here last year and the addition of cheek pieces will suit her here. Walsh thinks she can bounce back in style. Zambella is the danger here and the trip will suit her.

Ruby Walsh Cheltenham tip: 5.30 – Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Tip – GRAND JURY @ 18/1 with BetUK

Looks like great value at the price in what is a super competitive race. Adamantly Chosen looks a threat having had three runs over hurdles, but Walsh has doubts over how good he actually is.
