The Mark & Charlie Johnston-trained filly is ridden by JOE FANNING and, rather than back her for this race, I want to buy her jockey at 16 in the Spreadex LINGFIELD JOCKEYS MARKET. Fanning could also be in receipt of an easy lead on RUBY RUBY in the 2.25 and, though not a front-runner, SIXTH STREET holds each-way claims in the 4.10.

WETHERBY 3.25
Mark Walford has sent out four winners and three seconds form his 14 runners in the past fortnight and the trainer’s poor autumn/winter is well and truly behind him. He sent out just three winners from 123 runners from August until the end of February and plenty of his horses are well handicapped as a result. MISS AMELIA didn’t run during that period but she has generously been dropped 3lb since June’s close-up fourth at Uttoxeter where her patient running style was at a disadvantage. The winner, Bathiva, also came from off the pace that day but was obviously well handicapped off a mark of 126 and is now 8lb higher after a pair of subsequent successes. The nine-year-old recorded her best two RPRs (Racing Post Ratings) on her last two starts and looks set for a good spring/summer campaign this year. Back her at 11-4 in the Spreadex fixed odds betting or buy in the 50-25-10 spread market.
