Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Jack Wilshere is available for their upcoming clash against Crystal Palace.
The Gunners will take on the London outfit in the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Saturday. The England international was out of action since picking up an ankle injury during his side’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last November.
After confirming the midfielder’s return, Wenger remains confident that Wilshere will not suffer lasting damage since returning from ankle injury.
“Jack is fine. This injury was on the left ankle. He had all his problems on the right ankle. It’s a straightforward injury – once it’s healed, there’s no problem,” Wenger explained.
“I cannot tell you if he will start now. Before the last training session, it’s very difficult for me. I have not picked the team definitely. It’s always difficult to come back straightaway. What is good is that he’s already back.”
Wenger also revealed that Aaron Ramsey is out for Palace clash, while another midfielders Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Flamini are doubtful for weekend league fixture.
“Ramsey is still out. He is nine days into his three-week rehab. The two other injuries are Arteta and Debuchy. Apart from that we have some uncertainties about Flamini and Bellerin – they are doubtful for Saturday. Everybody else is OK,” Arsenal manager told the club’s official website.
“Bellerin is his ankle and Flamini has a tight hamstring. We’ll see. We’ll have tests tomorrow [Friday].”
