Video: Gareth Southgate’s dressing room speech as England U21s qualify

England U21 secured their spot for next year’s European Champion spot after sealing a 4-2 aggregate win over Croatia.

The advantage was with England having won the first leg 2-1 at Molineux and they started brightly in Vinkovci when Liam Moore volleyed home within 10 minutes.

Croatoa equalised through Marko Livaja but they rarely threatened to score further goals to progress. In the 73rd minute, Will Hughes’s goal gave England another comfortable victory.

Gareth Southgate’s team won nine of their 10 qualifying group stage games, scoring 31 goals.

He said to his team after the match in the dressing room: ‘I’ve not played in England teams who could keep the ball like that’. Check out the full video below.
