Andrew started the week with an 8-1 winner and followed suit with ROYDMOOR (WON 8-1) on Tuesday. He has four picks for the all-weather action at Lingfield, Kempton and Dundalk on Wednesday December 1st. Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the busy festive season and all year round. Here are today’s picks:

LINGFIELD 2.30

SYLVIA BEACH (system – sire Ulysses)

The fine record of Ulysses progeny was discussed in this column ahead of yesterday’s Lingfield card when King Of Ice, backed from 7-1 into 9-4, was narrowly denied in a division of the mile maiden. John & Thady Gosden’s Ulysses filly SYLVIA BEACH could prove up to making a winning debut over the same course and distance.

DUNDALK 2.40

MORNING SOLDIER (system – sire The Gurkha, 2yos, 7f, AW only)

Juvenile progeny of The Gurkha have a good record at this 7f trip on the all-weather, winning eight of their 31 starts for a profit of £72.90 to a £1 level stake at SP. MORNING SOLDIER contributed to those figures when successful over trip and track at 33-1 on his latest outing and can follow up.

KEMPTON 4.00

ARDAT (system – sire Ardad with juvenile newcomers)

Two-year-old progeny of the sire Ardad have a useful record on their racecourse debuts, winning nine of their 55 starts for a huge profit of £162.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. The latest qualifier is ARDAT, who looks set to appreciate Kempton’s Polytrack surface. His dam, Polly Floyer, won on Polytrack at Wolverhampton (before they replaced that surface with Tapeta) and his two half-siblings to run on Polytrack both won on it – course winner Goodwood Showman and four-time Dundalk scorer Silk Cravat.

KEMPTON 6.00

IMPERIUM (system – sire Frankel with older AW runners over 1m4f+)

Frankel progeny aged four and upwards have a good record over longer trips (1m4f+) on the all-weather, winning 29 of their 104 starts for a profit of £31.41 to a £1 level stake at SP. IMPERIUM hasn’t been seen since disappointing at Newbury in the spring but usually goes well when fresh and all-weather figures of 12111 (4-5), including three from three at Kempton, suggest he can bounce back returned to synthetics this evening.
