Andrew started last week in great style with a pair of 8-1 winners and he has four selections at Ludlow, Musselburgh and Wolverhampton on Monday December 6th. Follow his tips on horse racing betting sites throughout the upcoming and hectic festive fixture list, and all year round:

LUDLOW 1.00

MASSINI MAN (system – sire Dr Massini, younger handicap chasers)

MASSINI MAN ran a good race over two miles here on his debut for John Groucott, staying on into an 18-1 fourth despite losing a shoe. He was effective over today’s 2m4f trip when trained by Tom George and could have more to offer for his new yard. His sire’s younger progeny (aged eight or younger) are profitable to back blind in handicap chase company, recording 119 wins from 713 runners (16.7% strike-rate) for a profit of £121.17 to a £1 level stake at SP. His trainer has won three of the last three renewals of this contest, with runners priced at 18-1, 11-2 and 3-1.

MUSSELBURGH 1.45

GUN MERCHANT (system – damsire Mid night Legend, chases)

Chasers who have Midnight Legend as their dam’s sire have landed 17 of their 102 starts (16.7%) for a profit of £48.20 to a £1 level stake at SP. GUN MERCHANT improved for a wind operation when making all at Newcastle last time and can follow up on a track that will suit his forcing style.

WOLVERHAMPTON 4.30

PERIPETEIA (system – George Boughey in auction races)

George Boughey has a ten from 39 record in auction races for a profit of £29.65 to a £1 level stake at SP. His last two course runners in this grade both won (8-1 and 11-4) and PERIPETEIA could be up to defying a wide draw.

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30

ARCTICIAN (system – Simon Dow December runners)

Simon Dow usually comes into form at about this time of year and the Epsom handler had a 40-1 winner at Lingfield on November 26th. Even with that winner we’d only have made a small profit (+£8.25) by backing his November runners (since 2013) but it’s a different story in December. He’s 25 from 144 in the final month of the year for a profit of £79.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 16.81). He also saddled 22 seconds and 17 thirds in this period and an each-way approach could be the way to side with his runners for the remainder of the month. ARCTICIAN, Group-placed in Ireland for Paddy Twomey last year, might be worth chancing on his stable debut in this 7f novice contest.
