SOUTHWELL 4.30
PAY THE WOMAN (system – Martin Keighley, Southwell jumps runners)
Martin Keighley has a 34 from 189 record at Southwell jumps meetings (18% strike-rate) for a profit of £51.37 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners only 23.22). PAY THE WOMAN hasn’t shown much over fences the last twice but is two from two over hurdles and can bounce back now returned to the smaller obstacles.

ABDUCTION (system – course direction)
ABDUCTION was a shock winner (33-1) at Lingfield on his debut for Charlie Wallis last time and the four-year-old can prove that was no fluke by following up here. That win took his record in sprints on left-handed tracks to 121 (2-3), with the sole defeat by a head. He won easily on his sole course outing and a 2lb rise for his latest success, which was achieved in a fast time, could be on the generous side.
WOLVERHAMPTON 6.30
NICKLEBY (system – sire Kodi Bear at Wolverhampton)
Progeny of the sire Kodi Bear have done really well on Wolverhampton’s Tapeta surface, landing 14 of their 59 races for a profit of £70.98 to a £1 level stake at SP. Southwell maiden winner NICKLEBY remains open to further improvement on only his second start since being gelded and can upset the short-priced favourite High Velocity.
