Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker has revealed that he is hopeful to resolve his unsettled future before the start of the World Cup finals.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are both thought to be chasing the 25-year-old, who has established himself as Brazil national team’s No. 1 stopper ahead of Manchester City star Ederson.

And Alisson has now hinted that he wants to sort out his club future before the start of the World Cup finals so that he could focus on the national team.

He told UOL Esporte (via the Metro): “I think everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup, that’s what I want.

“The truth is that I left everything in the hands of my agent. If everything is not resolved, it will be discussed after the World Cup. Right now, I’m focused only on the World Cup.

“There are some possibilities and we are working on all of them, together with Roma, always respecting the club. We’ll see if anything happens this week.”

Liverpool are actively looking to sign a goalkeeper this summer after Loris Karius’ dreadful errors in the Champions League final and Jurgen Klopp has reportedly identified Alisson as his prime transfer target.

But Alisson’s contract with Roma runs until 2021 and the Italian giants will be reluctant to sell their star stopper, who has a £79 million release clause in his contract.
