Manchester United are lining up a £75m offer for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.
According to media reports in England, the former Tottenham winger is unhappy with the sacking of Rafa Benitez and will consider a move back to the Premier League.
Manchester United are long term admirers of the Welsh superstar and are determined to get a deal done this time. The Old Trafford outfit tried to sign him twice before with two offers during his time at Southampton and Tottenham.
According to Daily Mail, Gareth Bale prefers Manchester United over other English clubs and although Manchester City and Chelsea can afford his wages of £300,000-a-week, he favours a move to United if he returns to England.
Signing Gareth Bale would be a major coup for Louis Van Gaal’s side, who are struggling to create and score goals at the moment.
United are 9 points off the top and with 18 games to go, a title challenge cannot be ruled out with someone like Gareth Bale in the side.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can pull it off, but there is little doubt that Bale returning to the Premier League would be the most sensational transfer of this season.
