ITV Racing tips

ITV Racing tips return on Friday, 3 December with seven races live on terrestrial TV from Exeter and Sandown Park. Who do industry insiders and experts fancy from these meetings? All will be revealed!

The two-day Tingle Creek Festival gets underway on this day, so ITV Racing tipsters are getting their eyes in before the big race. Away from Esher venue Sandown, down in Devon horses must run up and down Haldon Hill outside Exeter this Friday too.

Most of the races broadcast live on ITV on 3 December come from the Greater London track. Joining regular pundits Matt Chapman and ex-National Hunt jockey Mick Fitzgerald are Tony Calvin tips with four picks from him. Chappers and Fitzy are more than happy with fancies punters can back on horse racing betting sites in every single event on the channel, meanwhile.

As usual, don’t expect Matt Chapman tips to agree with Fitzgerald here. Both men take their own views, so why not side with your favourite? The first of five races they give ITV Racing tips from Sandown on is a 2m 4f novices’ limited handicap chase (1:50). Both Chappers and Fitzy fancies Bothwell Bridge for Nicky Henderson. Calvin sees Bobhopeornohope from the Kim Bailey stable as a value alternative.

Informative Races at Exeter and Esher Venue

At Exeter, Mick Fitzgerald tips include Harry Fry’s Boothill for the 2m 3f novice chase (2:05). Chapman likes Adrimel for Tom Lacey instead. There is also a handicap chase over the same course and distance later on (2:40) where the ITV Racing tipsters take different views again. Fitzy is with L’Homme Presse and Chapman sides with Gunsight Ridge.

One True King and Out On The Tear are picks for the 1m 7f handicap chase at Sandown (3:00), while Exeter’s 3m 6f long distance handicap chase (3:15) sees the team put up each way fancies. Chapman and Calvin prefer Dancing Shadow, but Fitzgerald goes Gwencily Berbas instead.

Pertemps Qualifiers (3:35) are always tricky with ITV Racing tipsters all choosing Pileon and Stoner’s Choice between them. The former was chinned on the line at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival in the Martin Pipe. There’s a more digestible look at ITV Racing tips for 3 December in the table below:

Brave Kingdom the nearest thing to today’s NAP

If there is one horse that the panel agrees on, then it’s Brave Kingdom in the feature 2m 5f Grade 2 Ballymore Winter Novices Hurdle at Sandown (2:25). Now trained by Paul Nicholls, the ITV Racing tipsters expect this five-year-old to follow-up on a taking success at Chepstow. This is definitely one race to watch on the best live horse racing streaming sites which include William Hill.

While Calvin feels that Lacey’s Lossiemouth has the best hurdles form, he can’t rule out further improvement from the favourite. The Irish Point-to-Point that Brave Kingdom came third in also produced the handy mare Brandy Love. That one placed at this level in a Dublin Racing Festival bumper won by Grangee.

This collateral form from Irish National Hunt Flat races indicates that Brave Kingdom could be one to follow over obstacles this season. Nicholls happily steps him up in grade and class for this increased test of stamina too. He won at a canter unchallenged, so trying higher calibre opposition is the way to go with Brave Kingdom.
