Talented French youngster Adrien Rabiot seemed to have dismissed all talks of a move away from Paris Saint-Germain when he signed a three-year extension with the club earlier on this year. Courted by Arsenal all summer, Rabiot chose to stay at his parent club rather than make the move to the Premier League.
Now, though, Arsenal’s fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur are looking to prise the 20 year-old away from the French capital to the English capital on a loan deal. In an exclusive story by Le 10 Sport, it has been reported that the deal could happen in the coming weeks, and discussions between the two parties have already taken place.
Despite it only being a loan, PSG want Spurs to take over Rabiot’s entire salary during this time. This may an indication that there will be a buy option in the clause, when the lease comes to an end at the end of the season. Another indication of this is the fact that PSG are looking to looking to sign Miralem Pjanic from Roma in January to add to their midfield options.
