Liverpool have joined the race to sign Houssem Aouar from Lyon this summer.
According to Le10Sport, the Reds are keen to sign the midfielder as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old last year but couldn’t reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 club.
His value has dropped to £21 million, and the Gunners have reignited their interest in the player.
They have already submitted a bid, although they are yet to meet Lyon’s revised asking price.
Tottenham Hotspur sensed an opportunity and joined the race, but both London clubs could be blown out of the water by the Premier League’s big hitters.
Liverpool and Manchester United have entered the race, and the Reds may be a viable option for the talented playmaker.
They want a creative midfielder to replace Wijnaldum and have earmarked Aouar for the role.
United may step up their interest in Aouar if Paul Pogba leaves.
The Frenchman’s future is still up in the air, and the Red Devils will need a replacement if he jumps ship.
Aouar is keen to keen to leave the club this summer, and it will be hard for him to reject an offer from either Liverpool or United.
