The French newspaper Le 10 sport reports that Arsene Wenger, having already invested heavily on Mesut Ozil, is now looking to further bolster his attacking line-up with a move for the 22-year-old.
Although a striker remains the priority for the Gunners, Wenger could make a move for a player he has been following for over two years to flank Olivier Giroud.
The predominantly left sided attacker is also being monitored by Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich; with the Spanish coach impressed with Griezmann’s contribution to a fantastic run late last year for Sociedad, and 8 goals in 12 games so far this term.
The Spanish club seem confident however of keeping their man; with Sociedad manager, Jagoba Arrasate, envisioning a long stay for the winger,
“We’re hopeful that we can enjoy having him for a long time at Real Sociedad,” Arrasate said last week,
“Up until June for sure, but hopefully beyond that too.”
With both Bayern and Arsenal already heavily loaded with attacking midfielders, a move to a different side may be a more likely scenario for the talented Frenchman at the end of the season.
