Liverpool started off slow but finished strong to advance to the round of 16 in the Europa League on Thursday.
Unirea took the lead in the 18th minute but Liverpool responded with three unanswered goals from Mascherano, Babel, and Gerrard. Liverpool were expected to win the match but there was doubt after only a 1-0 win in the first leg.
They put those doubts to rest and should be considered one of the favorites to win the entire competition. For Unirea Urziceni, it was a strong start, but they don’t have the players to compete with a side like Liverpool.
