According to reports from the Mirror, Leeds United will sign Illan Meslier if they secure promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa rates him highly and considers the 20-year-old as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.
Meslier joined Leeds on loan from Lorient and has impressed this season. He had to wait long for his first-team debut but has impressed in the absence of Kiko Casilla.
He played second fiddle to Casilla for most of the campaign, but the Frenchman has kept two clean sheets in back-to-back games in his first two Championship appearances while deputising for the suspended Spaniard.
Phil Hay of the Athletic claimed last month that Leeds could offload Casilla who is one of the highest earners at the Yorkshire club.
Leeds are looking to sign Meslier permanently and are preparing a £6m deal for him.
The Argentine boss thinks Meslier is one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe, and therefore it would be a bargain signing for Leeds if they can get him permanently at that price.
