Manchester United are in talks with Championship outfit Hull City for the sale of midfielder Nick Powell.
According to Daily Mail, the Premier League giants are ready to let go of the talented central midfielder before the 11 pm deadline today.
The Manchester United player is expected to travel to Hull for a medical later if both clubs can iron out the details of the deal in time.
The young midfielder has failed to make his mark at Old Trafford since his arrival in 2012.
Signed by Sir Alex Ferguson, Powell seemed impressive and showed a lot of promise initially.
However, after the departure of the club legend, Manchester United have signed several midfielders – Fellaini, Herrera, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.
Manchester United are well stocked in the central midfield department and a move away for Nick Powell makes complete sense.
At this stage of his career, Powell needs to play regularly and a move away from Old Trafford would be best for all parties involved.
The details of the deal are yet to be revealed but the report from Mail states that the player could initially join Hull on loan and then sign permanently in the summer.
