Hull City keen on signing Nick Powell on a permanent deal

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that the Championship outfit are keen on signing the Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell permanently.

Powell joined Hull City on loan earlier this month and has managed to make quite an impression on the former Manchester United player already.

Bruce said: “If I get the chance I would like to make it permanent.”

“United hold all the cards”, he added.

The young midfielder joined Manchester United a few years ago under Sir Alex Ferguson and was tipped to follow in the footsteps of Paul Scholes.

However, Powell has had very few chances at Old Trafford and is clearly not in the club’s future plans.

Signing for Hull on a permanent basis would crush any unpredictability surrounding his future for now and will allow him to continue his development without a feeling of uncertainty.

It is unlikely that Manchester United will stand in the player’s way if he really wants a move.
