Andrew was on target with FANTASTIKAS (11-4) and AFRICAN DANCE (5-2) from his three bets on Tuesday and has three more picks at Hexham and Ffos Las on Wednesday November 17th:

HEXHAM 2.25

IZZY’S CHAMPION (system – Lucinda Russell, Class 5 handicaps at Hexham)

Lucinda Russell does well in low-grade handicaps at Hexham, scoring with 28 of her 125 runners in Class 5 company since 2010 (22.4% strike-rate) for a profit of £69.38 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those with one of the four best last-time out speed figures on their latest completed start (according to Proform’s speed figures) had a 20 from 57 record (35.1%) for a profit of £73.50. IZZY’S CHAMPION clocked a useful time when scoring narrowly over this 2m trip at Musselburgh last time and ran well here on his penultimate start, finishing third after not seeing out the 2m4f trip.

HEXHAM 3.35

YOUR PLACE (system – Lucinda Russell, Class 5 handicaps at Hexham)

YOUR PLACE qualifies on the same angle as Izzy’s Champion, though the daughter of Scorpion is a far more speculative selection. She was pulled up at Kelso on her return to action but that run would have been needed and the first-time cheekpieces could help. Her sire’s progeny have a reputation for being quirky but they often respond well to first-time headgear.

FFOS LAS 3.45

SPITFIRE GIRL (system – Jamie Snowden, third run in a bumper)

Progressive trainer Jamie Snowden has a fine strike-rate with his horses having their third start in a bumper, scoring with 11 of the 36 qualifiers for a profit of £20.55 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who were beaten but finished within ten lengths of the winner on their latest outing have a ten from 21 record for a profit of £33.05. SPITFIRE GIRL, runner-up in both previous outings, latterly by just two and a half lengths at Fontwell, looks worth an interest for her in-form handler.
