The goals for Fulham would come from Bobby Zamora in the 59th minute and Damien Duff in the 63rd minute. Fulham would have a few more chances in the match but Wolfsburg would be the next team to score. Alexander Madlung would get a crucial away goal with a header in the 89th minute.
The match would end at 2-1 and Wolfsburg will host the second leg.
