The list of potential transfers still to go thorough this evening is becoming increasingly sparse… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Remember Manchester United striker Frederico Manchego? Sorry, Macheda? Well he’s toddled off to Birmingham City for the rest of the season.
Having already spent loan spells at Sampdoria, QPR, Stuttgart and Doncaster Rovers during his short career, the 22-year-old Italian now heads off to join Lee Clark’s Blues for yet another shot at getting game time…
Remember this? Yeah, that’s Macheda!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. 19:57 – Man, I should tempt fate more often!I’m two for two with encouraging major transfers with my mistimed nonchalance.
Anybody up for some Family Guy clips? Never know, perhaps Cristiano Ronaldo will be the next one to go… …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
And again! Battered when my guard was down!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. 19:35 – Another lull in proceedings, but the last time I announced this, I was blindsided by Fulham and their capture of striker Konstantinos Mitroglou!
My tangential behavior has however led me to another gem of a pic, this time of PSG ladies captain Laure Boulleau.
International class defender, captain of her club, and, unfortunately for everyone, not in the spotlight this deadline day…
But I digress…
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. 19:16 -Stumbled across this pic of Konoplyanka and his wife…
Come on Liverpool, bring them to England!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. 19:13 – Liverpool are still working on the Konoplyanka deal it seems, and it would certainly be an interesting signing.

Yes – 45%
No – 27%
Kim who? – 27%
Seems like Arsenal fans aren’t too fussed with Kallstrom overall!
A slender win then for the Swede being a decent addition, and if can do a job similar to Mathieu Flamini, then why indeed not? …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….17:38 – So, Mark Hughes has picked up from where Tony Pulis left off, and is close to completing the Stoke monster with the signing of Lee Cattermole from Sunderland.
For a team that get pummeled every week by fans and pundits around the country for their aggressive, archaic style of play, they really don’t do themselves any favours with signings like this, do they?

“I’m here because I want to fulfil the Club’s targets and I want to help the Club achieve their goals. I was really flattered that they wanted me so badly and I’m really happy to be here.” Looks a little bit like super-villain to me… …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Pretty heavy stuff to be waking up too, especially for hopeful Gunners fans! Arsenal had reportedly (not via Wenger) been tracking the young German for an age, with a deal said to be a fair way down the pipeline.
This, coupled with Mirko Vucinic‘s desicion to stay with Juventus will surely leave Arsenal fans now contemplating yet another dour, anticlimactic transfer window.
Prove me wrong, Arsene!
