Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan duo Stefan De Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic.
According to Inter Live, the newly appointed Spurs director Fabio Paratici is keen on signing the two players from the Italian champion and he could get in touch with his former friend and colleague Beppe Marotta this summer.
The report further states that the London club are willing to submit an offer of around €22 million for the Dutch international and €25 million for the Croatian midfielder.
SL View: Inter duo could be excellent additions for Spurs
Signing the two players for a combined total of €47 million (£40.5m) could prove to be a major bargain.
De Vrij has been a key player for Antonio Conte this past season and he helped Inter Milan win the Scudetto after 11 years.
Tottenham could definitely use a quality central defender like him especially with the likes of Davinson Sanchez linked with a move away from the club.
Inter are reportedly under financial pressure and they could be forced to cash in on some of their players this summer.
Meanwhile, Brozovic has been a reliable central midfield presence for the Italian club but he has a contract until the summer of 2022 and Inter might be forced to sell him this summer just to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
However, the Croatian plays a similar role to that of Pierre-Emile Hojbejrg and it will be interesting to see how Tottenham accommodate both players in the starting line-up if they sign Brozovic.
That said, the Premier League club will have to sort out their managerial appointment before making any signings and they have been linked with a move for the former Roma manager Paulo Fonseca.
