Whenever Manchester United fans read any rumours regarding Paul Pogba, they would bite their nails in disappointment. What might have been the story had the young Frenchman not left the Old Trafford side? The 21 year old is one of the hottest young players and has been a vital cog in the Juventus squad for the past three seasons.

A host of European clubs including Chelsea, United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Monaco, PSG (the list goes on and on) are ready to splash the cash for the youngster. Italian media outlet Calciomercato also quoted Pogba’s agent Mina Raiola saying that his client might leave Juventus, “Will Pogba still remain in Italy ? No. Leave Juventus ? It’s up to them, we have just renewed and we are happy with the Bianconeri , but when there will be the right time to leave the pluck . next year ?”

“We’ll see Many teams interested in the player : Bayern Monaco , Chelsea , Manchester City and United, Paris Saint – Germain and Real Madrid . It is these latter two clubs at this time, the most aggressive”.

Reputed journalist Adam Digby tweeted that Juventus could plot a move for Edinson Cavani should Pogba leave the Turin side (citing Corriere Dello Sport)

Calciomercato’s report also states that Real Madrid are willing to offer €100m for the French star. It is believed that Zinedine Zidane who is involved in a coaching role with Real has asked the club to do anything possible and plot a move for Pogba.

Spanish media outlet AS have also published a story claiming that Pogba is Madrid’s priority signing for the coming summer.

Speaking to the Four Four Two magazine (relayed by 101 Great Goals) Pogba however explained why the left the Red Devils. But he claimed that the loves the Old Trafford outfit.

“I’m impatient. It was the feeling that I had. The coach (Sir Alex Ferguson) had faith in me, but didn’t put me on. He said that I was too young. He said: ‘Your time will come. It didn’t come. But it doesn’t mean I will speak ill of Manchester United. I love the club.”

Thus the question now would be: Will Pogba leave Juventus in the summer? There have been reports in the past few weeks that Carlos Tevez might not renew his contract with the Bianconeri. Thus the Old Lady would have to raise funds to bring in a quality striker. Pogba thus remains a viable option which the Juventus hierarchy might cash in.

No doubt the dynamic midfielder would be a huge loss in the middle of the park but to compensate the loss of Tevez, Juventus will have to bring a striker who can score at least 20 goals a season. While Fernando Llorente has been a flop since his move from Athletic Bilbao, Morata is still young and inexperience to lead the line on his own. Thus to bring in a quality striker, the reigning Serie A champions will need to splash the cash in the transfer market.

United might not be able to get back what they lost. Louis Van Gaal has other options in Gareth Bale and Kevin Strrotman lined up but as Pogba’s stats show he can be a valuable asset for any top European club.
