Bayern Munich star Philip Lahm has expressed his feelings about Manchester United’s move for Thomas Muller.
The former Germany captain claimed that Muller is priceless. Lahm also stated that Muller is extremely fond of Bayern and hinted that the player might not leave for Manchester United this summer.
“Thomas is one of those role models who you can’t attach a price-tag to,” the former Germany star said.
“He lives for Bayern, he is a very, very important player for us.”
Manchester United are willing to offer 80 million euros for Muller this week and Van Gaal is keen to make him his marquee signing at Old Trafford this summer.
Bayern Munich have made it clear that Thomas Muller is not for sale. However, United are willing to test the waters with another offer this week.
Thomas Muller enjoys a great relationship with Van Gaal and the player confirmed it earlier.
“Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach.
“However, I have a contract wtih Bayern until 2017.”
Manchester United have also been linked with a 78 million euro move for Kevin De Bruyne. The Wolfsburg midfielder is a target for Manchester City. However, Van Gaal is keen to add more creativity to his side and is looking at Gundogan and De Bruyne, alongside Thomas Muller.
Further, the Old Trafford outfit have also been linked with a sensational transfer for Barcelona’s Brazilian international, Neymar.
