Furious NFL fans eager to get a glimpse of October’s games in London were left frustrated after thousands lodged complaints over extortionate waiting times.
The league issued a warning to potential ticket buyers yesterday suggesting that demand for both the New York Giants vs Green Bay and Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints would be significantly higher than usual.
In an email sent out to fans, it read; “You can get in the queue from 9.30am. Please do not join before 9.30am as you may encounter issues when trying to purchase due to the length of time you have been on the site.”
Fast forward to today, and fans were indeed left dumbfounded as they logged on to find themselves in a queue with hundreds of thousands of other prospective ticket holders.
With fans particularly eager to see an exciting match-up between star quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones in the Giants vs Packers game, users had just 10 minutes to enter the website once they made it through the queue, and if they didn’t they would lose their place. With people having waited for hours already, you would imagine many people may have missed their window entirely.
Angry Twitter users have taken to the platform to vent their frustration – see below for just some of the hundreds of reactions.

Many users have complained that the service run by Ticketmaster, the exchange used to sell the seats, had been overrun by ticket ‘scalpers’ who have now been seen putting them up for sale at inflated prices elsewhere, with some as expensive as £300.
This was the screen many users were met with upon logging on at the recommended time.
