Racing Tips: Saturday’s 591/1 Lucky 15 Tips From Aintree & Sandown

Sandown
Sandown

On a busy Saturday, 4 December, there are even more Lucky 15 tips from SportsLens tipsters from major meetings at Aintree and Sandown. The supporting cards on Merseyside and in Greater London present some great opportunities for punters. The recommended Lucky 15 bet has total combined odds of 591/1.

Register with William Hill, using promo code M40, and try our Lucky 15 after wagering £10 to get £40 – £30 in free bets for the sportsbook, plus a £10 casino bonus.

If all selections win here, then that includes a 227/1 fourfold Lucky 15 accumulator. A £1 unit stake returns £592.48 if that comes off. That is the maximum payout here. All odds quoted below were correct at the time of writing, but remember they are subject to change. Let’s take a look at the Lucky 15 tips for 4 December in more detail:

Lucky 15 Tips Leg 1 – Richmond Lake (11:15, Aintree)

The opening contest at Aintree, the extended 2m novice hurdle, can go to Richmond Lake. Trained by Donald McCain for the late Trevor Hemmings, this five-year-old son of Westerner bolted up at Bangor on his hurdles debut last time out. Richmond Lake has since seen the runner-up, Hermes Boy, win at Exeter on Friday. That one also chased home subsequent Grade 2 scorer I Like To Move It earlier in the autumn, so the form looks good.

McCain uses 5lb claimer Theo Gillard to offset most of the penalty Richmond Lake carries here. The yard has been in fine form throughout the autumn and that purple patch continues. Richmond Lake looks well worth siding with on horse racing betting sites including William Hill at 13/8 to defy a penalty.

Leg 2 – Hardkore (12:15, Sandown)

In the opening 2m novice hurdle at Sandown, Hardkore looks value to follow-up on a great racecourse debut win. That came at Chepstow where Dan Skelton’s charge bested Listed bumper winner Good Risk At All. The runner-up has since filled the same spot behind leading British Supreme Novices’ Hurdle contender Jonbon, so the form looks good.

Hardkore, a four-year-old Cokoriko gelding, can only improve for the run as well. The way that he ran on well suggests he could well defy a penalty here. Some of the opposition probably want further than this try with Harry Fry’s Might I coming from bumpers and the Nicky Henderson trained Constitution Hill recruited from Irish Points. Hardkore looks the one to be on here at 9/2.

Leg 3 – Shirocco’s Dream (12:40, Sandown)

Shirocco’s Deam sneaks in at the foot of the weights for the extended 2m 3f mares’ handicap hurdle. After running well in two Irish Points, this six-year-old joined the Colin Tizzard yard and has an opening mark of just 111. Shirocco’s Dream could thus be well-treated now going down the handicapping route. Her rating gives her a nice racing weight of 10st 9lb, a plus in what may be testing conditions.

A first-time tongue tie goes on Shirocco’s Dream here, which should help her. She showed a really game attitude to win at Exeter last month too. The Tizzard yard is also having a much better campaign this season as well. Shirocco’s Dream gets the vote in our Lucky 15 tips at 9/2.

Leg 4 – Third Time Lucki (1:50, Sandown)

It’s hard to look past Third Time Lucki for the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices Chase over an extended 1m 7f at Sandown. Trained by Skelton, this six-year-old Arcadio gelding put in two fine displays of jumping around Cheltenham. The form of the second of those at the November Meeting in Grade 2 company stacks up.

Third Time Lucki took on some more experienced rivals over fences, jumping Wincanton Rising Stars winner Captain Tom Cat off his feet. An official rating of 152 puts him 2lb and upwards clear of the field here, so that bodes well. Third Time Lucki can again advertise his Arkle claims by completing his hat-trick in this at 15/8.

Lucky 15 Tips for 4 December

  • Richmond Lake in the extended 2m novice hurdle (11:15) at Aintree @ 13/8
  • Hardkore in the 1m 7f novice hurdle (12:15) at Sandown @ 9/2
  • Shirocco’s Dream in the extended 2m 3f mares’ handicap hurdle (12:40) at Exeter @ 9/2
  • Third Time Lucki in the Henry VIII Novices Chase (1:50) at Sandown @ 15/8

All the legs in a Lucky 15 bet don’t need to win for punters to turn a profit. That is the advantage it has over other system wagers like a trixie bet or patent. Even just a couple of the horses winning could give a great return on any investment.

A £1 unit stake, which means a total of £15 wagered, could have a total payout of almost £600. Some £575 profit on this punt if all legs win sounds great. Check out how the William Hill betslip should look like on this bet right here:
