There is no doubt that Van Gaal had tried to convince Odegaard to make the move to Old Trafford despite interest from Liverpool, Bayern Munich and a host of other European clubs. The 16 year old was poised to join Bayern but the interest died down over the past few weeks, throwing fresh speculations on his future. He had earlier trained at Melwood too earlier with the Liverpool first team.
Odegaard made headlines when he made his debut for Norway as a 15 year old last year. Thanks to his precocious talent, there is going to be a mad scramble for his signature in the upcoming months. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested. We shall keep you updated. Stay tuned.
