Liverpool have agreed to a deal with Huddersfield which will see their talented young goalkeeper Danny Ward head to the Championship on loan next season.
The 22-year-old got his first team debut under Klopp this season and has impressed in his few appearances for Liverpool so far.
Jurgen Klopp recently praised Ward’s performances and it seems that the German is ready to let the player develop with regular first-team football according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.
Huddersfield are managed by Klopp’s close friend David Wagner and the Merseyside giants are ready to let Wagner develop their young talent. Wagner worked with Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.
Wagner has already started planning for next season and feels that Ward could be a key addition for them in the Championship.
The Wesh keeper recently got his international debut against Northern Ireland in March.
Liverpool have been linked with the German keeper Timo Horn over the last few days and if they do manage to land him, it is likely that Ward won’t get many chances to prove himself at Liverpool next season.
Therefore, a loan move is probably the best option for all parties involved here.
