Xherdan Shqiri’s future at Bayern Munich has been subject to intense speculations over the past few weeks. After the Bavarians announced that the Swiss winger would be available to potential for €15m, a move to Liverpool was likely on the cards. However Italian side Inter Milan now appear to be the favourites to clinch the signing of the 23 year old.
There is no doubt that Shaqiri has grown frustrated over his lack of game time at Bayern and it is clear that his future lies away from the Munich side. Before we speculate, where would the Swiss star’s next destination be like, we take a look at what various tabloids and respected journalists are saying:
Football Italia: Inter directors Marco Fassone, Piero Ausilio and Michael Bolingbroke will be meeting with Bayern representatives Matthias Sammer and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge with a view to closing the deal. They have quoted Gazzetta Dello Sport. In fact TMW also say the same.
Forza Italian Football: They claim that Inter are set to meet Shaqiri’s representatives today to complete the pending decisions before the transfer is confirmed. It is believed that the Nerazzurri have an agreement with the player ahead of a six-month loan move but are yet to agree with the price of the deal that would make the move permanent.

Gianluca Di Marzio: The reputed and reliable site reported yesterday that Inter had spelled an offer of a sixth month loan with a €13 million mandatory buy-clause with bonus for if they reach the Champions League next season.
Bild (from Germany): Inter are offering €2m-€3m immediately for a loan deal till the end of the season but Bayern prefer to sell the player immediately. They however quote a price of €18m if a deal has to be made between both clubs.
My verdict from Shaqiri’s point of view: Shaqiri would have to see out of Liverpool and Inter Milan where he would get regular game time. Both the clubs will provide him enough playing playing time on the pitch and will also be a regular starting eleven player. But do Inter Milan have the quoted price to bring him at San Siro? If not will Bayern agree to loan him till the end of the season for a meagre amount?
What is Inter fail (most likely) to reach the Champions League for next season. (They sit way down the standings at 11th currently) That would mean Shaqiri would return to Bayern who would again have to seek potential suitors for the winger. They would want to avoid the hassle no doubt and would love some cash flowing in. After all who doesn’t? A lot of questions remain to be answered.
