Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is ready to let go of Chelsea target Antoine Griezmann if the Premier League giants offer Diego Costa in return.

Costa was a major hit under Simeone and the Argentine manager is keen to work with him again. There have been reports throughout this season that Diego Costa wants a move back to Spain. It is likely that those rumours will gather pace as we approach the summer transfer window.

French forward Antoine Griezmann has been in sensational form since joining Atletico Madrid and is being courted by several European heavyweights. Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the former Sociedad star and will need to part with Costa in order to land him this summer.

Antoine Griezmann has scored 24 goals for Atletico Madrid in all competitions this season.

Diego Costa had a superb season with Chelsea last year, but the Spanish international struggled to get going this season and only found some form over the last month.

The Chelsea star was instrumental during Atletico Madrid’s title winning season and it seems Diego Simeone is keen to recreate that side and wants Costa back.

Previously, Filipe Luis also returned to Atletico Madrid after joining Chelsea permanently.
