Jurgen Klinsmann’s vision for Bayern Munich will puzzle fans, underwhelm opponents (they underestimate the light show at their own peril) and make reporters sit up and look around uncomfortably.
In a letter to the Bayern fans, Klinsmann wrote:
‘FC Bayern is unique on this planet. Many clubs have been and gone on the international scene in recent years but FC Bayern has always been successful and will remain successful.
‘We are now standing at the beginning of a new era and have got to link the tremendous tradition of this club with modern requirements.
‘If we want to remain among Europe’s elite, then we have to make changes and we are working on that in our new training centre.
‘There is nothing like it in Madrid, in Milan, in London or in Manchester and I cannot promise that these changes will win us the Champions League straight away, but I am sure that we have to change something if we are to win the Champions League again.’
Madrid, Milan, London, Manchester… who’s he missing? Ouch… that’s gotta hurt….
Now while we love Klinsi – and wish him all the best – we can’t help but think that the people in the video below were the first products of that brand new nothing-like-it-in-Manchester training center:
