According to reports in the English media, Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is set for a sensational return to the Premier League after agreeing to join Manchester United in January.
Express have claimed that Robben has has a fall out with his Bayern teammate Robert Lewandowski and is considering a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Louis Van Gaal has already claimed that his side are in desperate need of a goalscoring winger and Arjen Robben is perhaps the best in the world in that department.
The Dutch winger has performed at a world class level for about a decade now and could be an outstanding addition to Manchester United.
Robben has already played in the Premier League and is well aware of the challenge. The former Chelsea player won the Premier League with the Blues and will be looking to do the same with Manchester United now.
Van Gaal and Robben have worked together previously and the pair enjoy a good working relationship. If the rumours of a fallout are true and Robben is indeed considering a move, Van Gaal will be more than happy to offer him an escape route.
It remains to be seen if the reports of Robben agreeing a Manchester United move are true.
Or is it just wishful thinking from the English media? time will tell.
