Signing a goalkeeper has been a priority for the Yorkshire club since the start of the transfer window.
The report claims that Blackman is expected to undergo a medical and finalise his move ahead of Leeds’ pre-season friendly at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday.
Leeds have been in talks over Blackman’s signature over the past two weeks. The Whites were interested in Angus Gunn and David Stockdale, but having failed to land either of them, they have shifted their attention to the 24-year-old.
Blackman spent the last season on loan at Sheffield United where he duly impressed. He made a total of 33 appearances and helped the club finish 10th in the Championship.
He is in line to become Leeds’ second signing of the summer, after the Whites signed Chelsea academy product Lewis Baker on a season-long loan.
Some Leeds fans have taken to Twitter and they feel he will be a good signing for the club.
It will create good competition in the squad. I’m sure BPF will get a few games this season. Definitely in the cups you would think

Good addition is Jamal Blackman as a starting goalkeeper. Could see a few come in over the next week or so as the transfers get going too. Doesn’t sound like there is any West Brom interest in Jansson either which is a positive for #LUFC.

Couldn’t agree more. Would have been a great signing for us and him

Good signing that. ??

Good signing, shouldn’t mean BPF is doomed to a season on the bench. Hopefully the pair can help each other develop.
