Week 15 NFL Picks: 1. New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts – Pats to beat the -2.5 spread (-105)
Having won seven successive games before a BYE-week last Sunday, it’s fair to say that the New England Patriots are back, and, much unlike Santa, there isn’t a team in the NFL that would actively request a visit from Bill Belichick’s men over Xmas.
The last time we saw the Pats in action, Belichick opted to keep the ball with the RBs to overcome division rivals the Bills over in Buffalo. The plan worked to perfection. QB Mac Jones went 2/3 for just 19-yards as the Pats ground up the Bills defense at the line, racked up 222-yards rushing, and won 14-10 on the road whilst proving to the world that, once again, New England has a winning game plan for every scenario.
The Colts are also in a great run of form. Other than the defeat to Super Bowl winners the Bucs last time out, Carson Wentz, Jonathan Taylor (1,348-yards on the year), and co. have won four of their last five, clawing their way back into a playoff push in the process. RB Taylor has been the undoubted star of the show, but a tip of the hat too towards a Colts defense (and offense) that ranks first in the NFL for turnover differential (+13), a stat that includes an astonishing 29 defensive takeaways!
That said, there’s just something about Mac Jones, Matt Judon, and the Patriots blue that’s impossible to bet against at present. We saw against Buffalo that coach Belichick has the schemes and calls to beat any team in the league, and we’re not backing against a man on a roll come Sunday.
Prediction: Pats D gets pressure on Colts QB Carson Wentz, who has one of those days, as the Pats beat the spread

Week 15 NFL Picks: 2. Green Bay Packers at Baltimore Ravens – Packers win and cover the -6 spread (-110)
In terms of placing a winning bet, a lot to do with this game is going to hinge on whether or not Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is fit to suit up. If he does, you’d give the wounded Ravens a chance of pulling off a slight upset on their home patch against a Green Bay team that continues to go from strength to strength. If not, well, it’s going to be a tough out for Baltimore – let’s just put it like that.
With Aaron Rodgers under center – and now the proud owner of the city of Chicago – the Packers have only lost once since that heavy opening day defeat to the Saints (Jordan Love played QB in defeat to Chiefs). The team plays safe football and ranks 2nd in the league in turnover differential (+12). Green Bay also boasts one of the league’s best passing attacks (ranked 8th in NFL for passing yards per game with 253.3 YPG).
Coming up against a depleted Baltimore secondary that ranks a lowly 31st in the league for passing yards against (266.1-YAPG), there’s a clear path to victory for Green Bay, whereas we just don’t see one for the Ravens right now.
Prediction: Green Bay throw a huge spanner into Baltimore’s playoff push by winning and covering the spread

Week 15 NFL Picks: 3. Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams – Rams win and cover the -4.5 (-110) spread
After blowing the NFC West wide open by beating the Arizona Cardinals on the road on Monday Night Football, the LA Rams return to action at the SoFi Stadium to take on Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks in a game that, should they lose, will spell the end of the Seahawks playoff push this year.
We’ll keep this one quick. Aaron Donald (pictured above) just got through leveling Russell Wilson’s heir-apparent Kyler Murray with three sacks in Arizona. Donald also has a long history of bringing it to Hawks QB Wilson and, with Von Miller now backing up Donald just along the defensive line, it’s hard to imagine the Seahawks weakened OL being able to stand up to the challenge. As such, expect to see Wilson put under a ton of pressure and for mistakes to come as a result.
On top of that, in Cooper Kupp, the Rams have a genuine MVP contender on the flanks. Kupp has caught 1,489-yards of Matthew Stafford’s passes to date and has registered 12 TDs. Up against a Seahawks secondary that is without star S Jamal Adams and that ranks bottom of the NFL (32nd) for passing yards against per game (278.9-YAPG), it’s hard to picture Seattle fans having much cause to celebrate come Sunday night.
Prediction: Sean McVay’s team put an end to the Seahawks playoff hopes as they win and cover on the road
