Paraguay would play a solid match to get a 2-0 win over Slovakia and move on top of the Group F standings.
They would take a lead in the 27th minute as Enrique Vera received a through ball while making a great run into the box and scored. The second goal was scored in the 86th minute as Cristian Riveros scored on a shot just inside the box. It resulted after a free kick was knocked around near goal and feel to Riveros who took a touch before shooting.
The win has Paraguay in position to win Group F while Slovakia needs a win against Italy in their final match to have a realistic chance to move on. Overall, Paraguay have been impressive in their two matches and a team that could be dangerous in the next round.
