Watch Milan v Inter live online here.
Due to Inter Milan’s recent wobbles in the Serie A and AC Milan’s much needed improvement in performance, the Milan derby was considerably anticipated by everyone. Ronaldinho, after a couple of years of quite dull seasons, has again shown the flare that we all know him for in the last two or three games.
If Milan were to win the game, they would have been only three points behind the defending champions Inter, with a game in hand. Obviously, that was not the case as Inter turned out to be the better team from the start of the match even though Wesley Sneijder was sent off almost midway through the first half. They had to finish the game with nine men, by the way, when Lucio got his second yellow in the last moments of the game.
Although, Milan did manage to take advantage of Inter’s wobbly form but they could not make the most of it as they (including Ronaldinho) lacked the final touches needed to roll the ball over the line. Then after Lucio was sent off, Julio Cesar stopped Ronaldinho’s penalty as well.
It was quite disappointing when Sneijder was sent off though, because of the way he takes control of Inter’s game and add a whole lot of creativity from the midfield.
