According to the Guardian, Spain striker Diego Costa has completed his Chelsea medical in London, with the striker set to be unveiled as the Blues’ first big name signing this summer.
The burly Atletico Madrid striker was identified many months ago as potentially the answer to Chelsea’s problems up front, and the club have acted fast to secure the 25-year-old before the start of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Guardian claim that Costa will cost the Blues £31.8m, and with his medical now out of the way (there had been concerns about his ongoing hamstring problem), the path is now clear for the striker to complete his long-awaited switch to Stamford Bridge.
