Manchester United have been linked with Wesley Sneijder for a long time now. The Dutch midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League but Daily Express published a story few days back that the hopes of seeing the 31 year old in England is remote.

The report claimed that Sneijder’s agent Guido Albers wants to secure a two-and-a-half year deal for his client worth £2.5m so that he can continue to pursue his football in Turkey where he already has a contract till 2016.

However the trusted and reliable TMW website from Italy have published a story saying that reigning Serie A Champions Juventus are plotting a move for the Dutch star in January and the Old Lady want Sneijder as their first signing of the winter transfer market.

In fact Gianluca Di Marzio have reported Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri saying, “Sneijder? He’s a realistic luxury for us, we miss a player like that.”

TMW have cited La Stampa saying that the Bianconeri are ready to pay Sneijder’s wages to bring him at Turin. Manchester United would have done with a player of his ability but they will now have to look elsewhere. Southampton are also interested but manager Ronald Koeman had earlier said, “I ’m interested, but I know we can’t pay him.”
