Manchester United are preparing an offer for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
The French forward has been in exceptional form over the last two seasons and has been one of the most exciting players in Europe since he joined Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann bagged an impressive total of 25 goals last season and has started this one in red hot form as well. The Atletico Madrid man has scored 5 times in his 5 appearances for the Spanish giants so far.
According to Daily Star, Real Madrid are also weighing up a big money move for the Atletico Madrid hitman.
However, Real Madrid have failed twice in their previous attempts to land a Atletico player (Aguero and Falcao) and if Manchester United are serious about Griezmann, they hold a serious advantage because of the bitter rivalry between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward has promised (claim Daily Mail) that the club will continue to spend more money to strengthen the squad and it seems that a big offer for Griezmann is being lined up for next summer.
Louis Van Gaal will be hoping to pair the Atletico Madrid forward with new signing Anthony Martial.
On paper it would be an outstanding duo as both players compliment each other’s skill-set perfectly. If Van Gaal can pull it off, Manchester United will not only have one of the most lethal strike partnerships in England but around Europe as well.
