With the Newbury Winter Carnival underway this Friday, SportsLens tipsters give their latest Lucky 15 tips for 26 November. There are four fancies in the races immediately before the feature contest with three of those on terrestrial TV. Combined odds of 628/1 sound great, so our Lucky 15 bet is worth a look.
If our Lucky 15 tipster has it right and all four legs of the bet win, a £1 unit stake returns £629. That includes a fourfold acca that is almost 250/1 on its own. This is why the Lucky 15 accumulator proves so popular.
Even if all four selections don’t win, punters could still be well in profit. All odds quoted were correct as of the time of writing, but do change as gambles develop. Read all of our Lucky 15 tips for 26 November right here:
Newbury Lucky 15 Tips Leg 1 – Tea Clipper (12:40)
In the 2m 4f Grade 2 Berkshire Novices’ Chase, impressive Chepstow winner Tea Clipper could defy a penalty. This performance probably hasn’t got the credit it deserves. Tom Lacey’s six-year-old Stowaway gelding was given a great ride by Stan Sheppard, who is again on board. It was a ready Listed success and one in-behind have advertised the form.
Captain Tom Cat, beaten 30 lengths in fourth that day, came out and won the Grade 2 Rising Stars Novices’ Chase at Wincanton earlier this month. When you consider that Tea Clipper conceded experience of fences to his main rivals, it does look like a very smart effort. Odds of 10/3 look like real value for him to follow-up here.

Leg 2 – Good Risk At All (1:15)
In the 2m maiden hurdle, horse racing betting sites all have Jonbon as favourite but Good Risk At All won a stronger bumper at this venue in February. Sam Thomas’s charge also has hurdles experience, which he should have learned plenty from. The form of Good Risk At All’s Listed win at the course is also working out really well.
Each of the second, third, fourth and fifth horses home in-behind him have made up into hurdlers. I Like To Move It, the runner-up, completed a hat-trick over obstacles in a Supreme Trial at Cheltenham earlier this month. Good Risk At All came on for his first run last season, so punters can expect a similar story here. He is 5/2 to go one better than at Chepstow.

Leg 3 – Boothill (1:50)
The 2m novices’ limited handicap chase sees our Lucky 15 tips put Boothill forward. Trained by Harry Fry, this lightly-raced six-year-old has been minded with fences very much on the agenda. His Kempton bumper victory from February 2020 has thrown up plenty of subsequent winners.
Boothill scored himself at Taunton last December and should strip fitter for his reappearance and handicap debut at Ascot. This Presenting gelding ran a fine third to Soaring Glory in a Listed event when beaten just 2 1/2 lengths. That should have blown away the cobwebs. Fry again books Sam Twiston-Davies for the ride, which catches the eye. Boothill is 7/4 for a successful chase debut off 1lb higher.

Leg 4 – Umbrigado (2:25)
Prior to the Long Distance Hurdle, there’s a competitive 2m 4f handicap chase where course and distance winner Umbrigado returns to the scene of his last triumph. David Pipe’s charge completed a hat-trick here in March after wins at Fontwell and Wetherby. This isn’t a graded handicap like the Greatwood Gold Cup either.
Umbrigado, a seven-year-old son of Stowaway, only need pushing out for a cosy length win over Killer Clown. The fourth home has since won at Market Rasen, so the form is decent. Umbrigado races off just 2lb higher and has had a couple of hurdles outings this season to bring his fitness on. Odds of 5/1 just look too big to turn down.
